RELEASE NOTES Distributions support: * Ubuntu 6.06 LTS * SuSE Linux Enterprise 10 * RedHat Enterprise 5 Licensing: * Parallel port dongles will not work under Linux, only USB dongles will function. * On some systems the usb dongle is not detected correctly, and requires a restart. # /etc/init.d/mil-licenses restart Serial Ports: * Serial ports on the Helios are currently disabled. * M_UART MsysControl haven't been ported yet to Linux. Use minicom or other software to communicate with serial port. * Older Morphis boards can cause the system to crash at boot. The Linux kernel has trouble recognizing the Morphis serial ports. See README.morphis, to upgrade the firmware on the Morphis to fix this issue. Display: * MIL's auxiliary display mode will only work with a Matrox G series PCI VGA board (G200, G400, G450, G550). The VGA card driving the X server has no effect on the auxiliary display. Dual-head G series VGA boards cannot be used to drive both the X server and the auxiliary display. * The auxiliary display does not work properly with 8-bit VCFs. Drivers: * Kernel independant drivers require at least a 2.6.11 kernel, see /opt/matrox_imaging/drivers/src/README for details.
